Additional Milk in My Coffee Information

Jordan Greene moves from the deep south to New York City, and finds more than he ever bargained for. When he shares a ride with a vivacious young white girl, a romance grow between the unlikely pair--much to the chagrin of Jordan's friends and family. Love on the other side of the color bar forces him to examine his own values and makes him stand up against what everyone expects him to do. In this brightly entertaining and emotionally complex novel, Dickey again demonstrates why he is one of the hottest voices in African-American fiction today.

Praise for Milk In My Coffee:

"Dickey has demonstrated once again his easy mastery of dialogue and voice and his cheerful, wittily acerbic eye for the troubles that plague lovers in the 1990s."-- Publishers Weekly

"Dickey fills his novel with twists and turns that keep the reader guessing as he describes a true-to-life, complex story of relationships."-- USA Today

"Dramatic and appealing."-- Kirkus Reviews

"Smart and believable....After the last page is turned you'll still have plenty to savor."-- Essence

"Engrossing and entertaining."-- Booklist

What Customers Say About Milk in My Coffee:

It has all the fun and wit of his other novels but also takes a serious look at some real issues like inter-racial relationships. I loved it from beginning to end and found it hard to put it down. I could go on and on about how great this book is but 'ya wont know it till ya read it, so get to it'. If you're a fan of Eric Jerome Dickey then you have got to read this book. It is one of the best books in his collection.

Hit me back. But now I'm an author and it has something to do with you and Bebe Moore Campbell. And I remenber we stood there for awhile tripping over how fine you looked on the back.

I loved this book. You are such an inspiration and I still remember the first time my friend Paulette put me on to your books. Hi, Eric.

We couldn't wait for the next one which was Milk in My Coffee back in 99. I can't wait to read PLEASURE. It's part of the reason I'm an author.

You're writing our stories and You know I'm trying to give you a run for your money with my new novel, What You Owe, Love Does Not Pay.

Thanks. Loved it. Excellent book. I have a clearer understanding of the relationships of black and white people.

This book was a great read. This was my first book by Jerome Dickey, so I was skeptical with starting a new author, but I'm so happy I checked this guy out. Dickey's eye for detailing all the emotions of the characters makes this one a must-read for romance lovers. Interesting fictional look at complicated relationships and the complexities of interracial dating and the perception of race. I enjoyed this book so much that I went and picked up more books by him. I want to get every book he's written.

I loved it. Once I picked this book up, I could not put it down.
